Back to School Free Printables from The Paper Cupcake

And we’re back! I apologize for the week long hiatus. Blogher ate my brain and Charlotte and I are busy trying to figure out where to take this blog and how to squeeze in everything we want to do while staying on top of all our other responsibilities (like keeping our children alive). Thanks for your patience! We have a ton of great ideas, and it’s just going to take time to see them grow.

To thank you for supporting us and hanging in there, we have a BONUS free printable offer this month. Charlotte designed some awesome “Back to School” themed decorations, including a banner, cupcake toppers and oversized toppers (get creative, go wild!). You can download all of them for free by clicking here. If you would like any other printables to go with this or any other design, check out Charlotte’s shop (The Paper Cupcake) and convo. her on Etsy. She *loves* custom designs and will be happy to help you out.

And keep those submissions coming! We’re working hard to get as many up as we can, and love to have a variety to choose from. Also, feel free to post any questions or ideas you may have for future parties over on our Facebook wall. We have a PLK forum in the works, but for now, Facebook is the best place to bounce ideas off of other PLK readers.

Love the name Paper Cupcake. Where do you begin when choosing and invitation with so many cute designs?

    • Hi Kelly!

Thank you SO much for your kind words! I would say that one of the most important things is to decide on a theme or some type of color palette prior to browsing invitations and other stationery and paper details for your party. Once you have a starting point, then it’s much easier to look at what’s available and narrow down your choices. Keep it simple and go with one central theme or if going with more of a color themed event, pick just 3-4 colors max, if not just 1-2, and then roll with it. If you choose way too many colors, your vision might get lost and it truly does come down to sometimes, less is more. That way you can create a more cohesive look throughout your event and it typically makes thing easier throughout the entire planning process. I hope that helps, but definitely let us know if you have any other questions!

      Thanks again!

  5. Hi, just found your site and loving it already! My son is crazy about buses, was just trying to download the beautiful banner on Scribd but with no luck, keep getting on error message :( Anyways, I’m looking forward to being a follower ;)

Thanks, Anna! Hope that you were able to download the banner, if not please let me know and I can email it to you. I know that Scribd was a little slow for me several times lately, so they may have been having some technical difficulties or something. Thanks again for following and we hope that you find some great inspiration here!
