Cupcake Party | Ideas + Inspiration

A second idea for Diana’s daughter’s birthday.  This is definitely girly and fun.   You could let the girls actually bake or just decorate cupcakes.  Fun aprons to wear while decorating and guests could keep as a party gift.  Colorful spatulas to take home to cook with mom (or Dad!)   The possibilities for this are nearly endless.

Rainbow Party | Ideas + Inspiration

The third and final idea for our reader Diana’s daughter’s birthday…. submitted by another reader – a bright and cheerful rainbow party.  The perfect remedy to those cold and dreary January days!   I love the lollipop rainbow invitations.  So many DIY options here too including the cake and finger paints (tutorial links below).    What little girl wouldn’t love a bright hair bow and yummy lip balm to take home?  Everything about this theme just makes me smile…. and reminds me of my own childhood – Rainbow Bright anyone?

Snow Princess – Ideas + Inspiration

The first idea for our reader, Diana’s 7 year old’s girly birthday party in January, is a Snow Princess theme.  There are so many great decor options – and if you hit up after Christmas sales the store bought items might even be cheaper than DIY.    Stay tuned for two more ideas!

Pink! Perfect for a Princess

I really love the sweet simplicity of this pink princess party, no Disney characters required.  And my favorite part? the DIY boa wreaths… genius!  Ava’s mom, Kessler (you may remember her from the ice cream social party) gave us a short summary of this playful party.

When Ava was turning 3, she wanted a princess party.  Since she wasn’t familiar with the Disney Princesses at that point, I focused on what she would love – the color pink and a tiara emblem on everything from the invites to favor tags to cupcake toppers.  I had paper tiaras, pink ribbon wands and pink feather boas for the party guests to play with at the party, and turned leftover pink feather boas into decoration by wrapping them around a foam wreath. Goody bags were filled with “enchanted bubble bath” that Ava made (with a little assistance)… a bath poof,  toothbrushe, sparkle toothpaste and sugar-free bubble gum for the older princesses.

You could totally make the ribbon wands with a few straws and remnant ribbon (you know the stuff you can’t throw away, but is too small to actual wrap around a gift?).

Cash’s Mustache Bash!

Amanda created this awesome birthday party for her little man, Cash.  I am absolutely freaking in love with the colors.    Highlights of the party include a  photo booth (complete with mustaches on a sticks!) where each guest got their picture taken with Cash and then turned into thank you notes, cookies and milk “mustache” favors and the photo collage in the shape of the #1.   Such a simple yet super creative addition to the decor.  Thanks for sharing Amanda!
